Many people have had trouble winning at all. The mission you're in right now is one of the two hardest ones in the game, so it definitely warrants the use of some points. There is supposed to be some strategy in that, much like there's some in choosing what to upgrade or buy. In some battles you're supposed to choose between finishing faster for more points or destroying more enemies for more credits. You may want to hoard them for the unlockable story options (though there aren't any of high cost or much consequence in this release), but since the amount you get also depends on how long you take to finish a mission it's often *better* for your bottom line to use some anyway ("full forward" is often a good idea). ![]() Something like the captain's state of mind: his current willpower or stamina - some command procedures would appear to be rather difficult to pull off.Īs a game mechanic it's not that bad, though. I'm not quite sure what command points are supposed to represent either. Not like current system completely sux but I think alot of people have problem with being hesistant of using consumables and thus making game more punishingly hard then it may be. Throw in bonus points for destroying enemy units. So you will need to wait 5 turns to fire your cannon for the first time and 8-12 turns afterwards. Like you start with 1000 and then generate like 200-300 per turn and you can upgrade th ammount you generate (officer training). I dont know - maybe make them non-global, but something that generates during battle. The blue girl can repair your ship just fine for free - why even bother with using consumables for this stuff? But its silly that you again need influence to launch repair drones. Other orders you can issue - Rally order ok, makes sence. Its consumable basicly that is not easly replenishable and so far it was important for making through some of your content. ![]() ![]() So I am here at situation when I either burn 2500 comand points to win THIS battle and then hope for best that I wont need this cannon any time soon or I should fight with tooth and nails to keep the points so I could use them another time in harder battle.īut that harder battle I will end up with same problem again. But I its not free - its 2500 points while so far I only get around 1400 per mission. I think I could do something if I had that single bloody anihilator shot for free here. And you stand versus like 10-12 enemy units spamming your ship with missiles nonstop. You end with basicly two battle oriented units + antilaser support+ MELEE mech that dies from random rock throw at it. I am not far in game now (only just opened creepy yellow girl with very strange mech), but missions that comes after is just jawbreaking hard. I dont know if Planetary Anihilator cannon is meant to be used during ordinary missions but since you end up vs FREAKING FRAKING HORDS of enemy doombots and ships that pretty much spamm you with endless rockets and missiles - why not give single shot of this gun for free and THEN add an order to overclock the gun to fire it again. and keep hoarding stuff even then since at first playthrough I have no idea if this this is it's final form.Īlso its kinda sux that I cant fire my main gun. I always end up hoarding this stuff for entire game "just in case" so I usually fight agaisnt the odds during play unless I come to finall boss. Posted on as well under the same username. Can you look at comand points sytem?
